Contract To Pay As You Go
I bought a mobile phone from a friend around a year ago as a replacement
for my very basic pay as you go. However, I cannot do anything on it other than basic texts, taking photos, etc and I think its because that the phone was previously on contract but I am pay as you go. The model is Nokia 6280.
I have been into the Vodaphone shop several times and they dont seem
to have an answer. I cant, for example, look at video clips, listen to music, connect to the internet etc and the phone has really been a waste of money. Does anyone know how I can get all the functions on the phone to work?
Thanks
jan

Thanks for your tip, however, my phone isn't listed. I downloaded the settings as instructed in the general area but my phone hasnt received them. In the end I sent an email to Vodaphone but they havent replied.0

You may need to get Voda to enable certain services on your account. I recently had to get GPRS enabled on a T-Mobile PAYG SIM before it would work, when the settings in the phone were correct. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Yes espresso is correct, if you can call them from another number so you can keep your mobile free and they will enable it for you and you may have to put the settings in manually but they will talk you through it so its best trying to call them from another phone other than your mobile.0
