Vehicle Control Services

Having dealt with a previous parking charge I used this forum a lot but I have received another from http://www.vehiclecontrol.co.uk/ and can't seem to find any answers to this question...

I was given this ticket after paying £50 to park at Robin Hoods Airport for a week, having set off I could hear/feel one of my tyres was flat, slow puncture, so put my hazards on pulled over and checked how bad...not having a portable pump and knowing there was a petrol station round the corner I decided to crawl it there to pump it up...I have now received a PCN through the post...any help on how I go about challenging this would be great, I can't seem to find any similar cases.

Sorry for the long winded story.

as above, there are dozens if not hundreds of cases for RHA and JLA on here

what happened on the day is not relevant unless it gets to court , its not about parking or stopping, its about being able to send out threatening letters demanding payment for a speculative invoice and having 6 years to harass people into paying up

the NEWBIES sticky thread tells you what to do , bearing in mind that VCS will not cancel the charge and neither will the IAS

here is an RHA thread to get you started

If you are appealing, you can point out that broken down isn't parking, and the signs don't say anything about break-downs. You can also mention frustration of contract (even if the contract was somehow legal, you broke it due to matters out of your hands i.e. the puncture).
