Not personally but I've been researching kitchens myself. What I've found is that they don't have the service space behind the units for routing pipework and cables. Apparently some fitters hate it. The units themselves seem to get generally positive reviews.

Also if you want an integrated dishwasher, you have to buy an Ikea dishwasher as it is tricky to fit other makes of dishwasher.

There have been a couple of threads recently about this.

We put one in three years ago and we love it

Yes we had to buy their dishwasher for the easy life as we were fitting ourselves but its ok - does the job ( we have a slimline one )

No problems with re routing pipes etc

A lot of friends cant believe it was so cheap as it really does look good

The only problem we had was with drawer handles. We got sent full length handles instead of drawer handles and not knowing the difference we really struggled to get them to fit and wrecked a drawer front or two. But in saying that, Im glad we stuck with them as I prefer the look ( we got new drawer fronts )

Delivery was on the day and time they said. Everything was in the order. in fact we had a few doubles. They collected the returns in a timely fashion and we had no problems with anything ( other then the drawer handles )

I don't think I've seen a bad Ikea kitchen review. The fitting costs are high - I wouldn't buy that service from them.

Mine's been in four years. This was only supposed to be a temporary house or I'd have spent more. As it happens, I'm happy with it, especially for the price. I'm a fan of the five year guarantee on appliances. We had a piece of cotton wrapped around the dishwasher motor that they sorted recently. One of my hob knobs is defective - but I know that will be sorted too when I get round to calling them.

WE bought one a few years ago, before the dishwasher cupboard was changed and haven't regretted it at all. We didn't buy their appliances though. Hubby fitted it himself had a little moan about the the service space where the sink is but all was fine in the end. Would definitely buy from them again and have their dishwasher next time. lol.

Recently installed my fourth Ikea kitchen - this is the first of the 'new' range and everything went as smoothly as before, no complaints other than the dishwasher issues, as mentioned.

    As for longivity,
    THIS
    Was done ten years ago.

Thank you that has put my mind at rest, we are going for their fitting service too as I guess they will be the best people and will know the products. I am really quite excited now!

It's a kitchen. It's not brain surgery. Anyone who is a prifessional kitchen fitter will know how to fit them.

I don't think their fitting service is anything like MSE - it costs more than the units. If you have no one to recommend you a fitter then I guess you have no choice, but don't think you're buying something special with their fitting service.

If you have any experience of building any ikea furniture, it's a doddle

I can't draw a straight line yet I built all the cupboards for our kitchen, hubby fitted them. 14 plus oven housing and dishwasher and two drawer units.

Took a day and a half
