    I agree, there are 2 big uni's where I live, one accepts level 2 equv the other doesn't, however, next year they both will require GCSE..

    hi check out the General social Care council website https://www.gscc.org.uk for information on what being a social worker means. They regulate the field and have a list of core values that all SW's have to abide by. There are is also a review document called something like SW into the 21st century which is a good summary. Gd luck with interview

    I am just about to go into my third year of a sociology degree. After graduation I would like to do a Masters in social work which is essentially a fast-track post grad course to become a qualified social worker.
  • My friend is doing criminology and psychology and can do a "top up" (sure its not called that but the words has fallen from my mind) year in social work and she will be a fully qualified social worker.

    I find it strange you can do it that way.
