  • I've got several DD's set up only drawing £1 each from various accounts and have had no issues but I do use the Internet Savers for larger deposits and withdrawals as its paying 1.6% with bonus at the moment.

Not saying what I'm doing is right just that's what I'm doing!:)

If your daughter opened up an e-bay and PayPal account, this would provide her the requisite 2 active Direct Debit mandates to transfer.

Thank you, I have account with both and just use PayPal with my card details. I didn`t know about payments by Direct Debits. The only but is...she would have to make sure she buys something every month?

Do the TSB switching T&Cs state that the DDs need to pay out, or merely be "registered"?

It says active direct debits so think she will go with the Tesco or similar accounts.

"Active", in this context, means not "dormant", ie they're able to pay if called upon.

But I agree Tesco is a better option.

There is no where to put she is due to start in 2 weeks and we are wondering if she puts 0 will they think she is unemployed, should she consider putting 1 month to show its a new job? thanks

Don't lie, fill the application in with correct information as of today.
