Started a case, via Resolver, on the 29th August. Gave Thomsons the full 28 days their automated response suggested. No response. Escalated via Resolver, but the response to the E-mail was that the recipient was away and to e-mail some deputy. Could not figure out how to do that, so left it for a couple of weeks, before re sending the E-mail. Anyway up, it seems that I (via Resolver) am being totally ignored. Anyone had the same, or any ideas?????

what are the circumstances of your dispute with Thompsons
Read Vaubans guide and decide if you have a case0 -
Delayed flight from Corfu of over 6 hours. Surely the dispute does not have a bearing on if they reply or not??? Even if they do not consider there is a case they should say so!!!0

You will be surprised how many of these companies just ignore you until you start proceedings against them. Read Vaubans guide if you are satisfied you have a case for compensation send a letter before action to Thomsons give them 14 days to reply if they don't you have 2 options start court proceedings yourself or hand it to a no win no fee solicitor. All in the guide0

As well as the guide
you are probably best reading the Thomson thread to see other people's experiences of timescales...
how long ago was the flight?...it is not uncommon for airlines to pad things out/ignore you if you are close to the deadline for claiming...then eventually come back with a "sorry too late"
If you have any further questions they will be best on the Thomson thread0 -

Hmmm, I was delayed in December last year - I wrote to Thomsons almost immediately on my return - via email and post. Got the automated email "28 day" message - heard nothing so got in touch again to be told they had no record of my correspondence ...
They then replied within I think a few weeks disputing my claim due to bird strike, then ignored all other correspondence until I issued a claim in July - in fact when I called they said the case was closed, despite the fact they hadn't responded to a letter I had sent asking for details of the fault to the 2nd plane flown from Manchester to Gatwick. So they ignored by Letter before Action and my draft Particulars - which I had help drafting by the law firm I work for.
As I've said in threads in the Thomsons posts, I've no experience with Resolver, but purely going from my own experience with Thomsons is that they ignore you until you issue - even then, at the last minute they acknowledged and said they would defend the whole claim - then called me some 7-10 days later to settle.
Given my own experience (and nothing more than that) I would say if you think you have a strong case, either issue a claim, or pass to a NWNF lawyer like Bott & Co.
Can I add - I don't work for Bott & Co !!! Couple of other posts I've said if you don't want to issue yourself, use a company like them, which is just because they seem to specialise in this sort of thing - unlike the law firm I work for !!!!0
