Has your account seen an unusually high throughput lately?...>£5K per month? Or have you met the criteria in some other way? See their website for further details.0 -

so NO upgrade for me again

There is no guarantee of an 'upgrade' if you pay in £5K. Also, the benefits of being 'Select' are minute/non-existent, so I wouldn't worry.0

Not really. Only pay in what comes out to keep the balance more or less at £20k.0 -

As Colsten said there is no real discernible benefit, other than for the look on the tellers face when in the branch in my work clothes and produce the gold card. I know in this day and age it shouldn't make any difference who you are but there is a definite change in customer service. When they see the select .0 -

Indeed, I've been doing this since May last year - £6.5k to Lloyds and £6.5k back every month.
No Select yet!0 -
If it's important for you to be Select:How do I become a Santander Select customer?
To qualify for Santander Select you must have a current account with Santander and meet one of the following criteria:- Pay your main income of at least £5,000 per month into a Santander current account (excluding transfers from other Santander accounts), or
- Maintain £75,000 in any Santander investments, savings or current account; or
- Have a property worth at least £500,000 with a Santander mortgage.
