Emirates

Hi folks.

Just looking for a hand, here.

I'm trying to claim for compensation regarding a flight that I took from Glasgow to Bankgok, via Dubai, in 2008. The flight was delayed by 5hrs due to some of the wheels on the plane needing replaced. I should be due around £450 in compensation and I complained to Emirates in 2013, but they took the extraordinary circumstances route and denied responsibility.

I found my original emails and replied to Emirates and mentioned the recent European Court of Justice ruling however, they have responded to say that the flight was now more than 6 years ago, so they wouldn't be giving me any compensation.

I could accept their point of view had I not done anything at all, but given that I did make a complaint, surely any time frame should date from then?

Thanks for reading,

ML
