I should finally be out of my overdraft at the end of this mont
First time in many years!
Looking to change and hopefully get one of these that pay £x for swapping.
Ideally, one I can pay deposits in at the post office. I have debts with Halifax, Barclays, tesco(rbos) , mbna and Santander.
My account at the mo is with Santander and I have separate current account with TSB
Also, if I have money actually 'spare' in my account, can Santander offset it against my debt or do they need permission first?
Any suggestions?

Define 'debt'....

A loan is a debt, but they can't offset it unless you fall behind with payments. If you defaulted, then yes, they can take money from your current account without asking you.
MSE article: Setting Off Rules
If you defaulted on all your debts then, IMHO, you are unlikely to get accepted for any account offering switching bonus.0 -
It is good you are out of your overdraft. It might help to go into the debt forums to get advice on your other debts, if you haven't already done so. Good luck.

Have a look at the MSE guides for switching:
