Talk Talk - Confusion

Hi All

Called Talk Talk to query best deal as paying £27.?? for simply broadband and line rental, and can see on website simply broadband and line rental for a total of £17.70

https://sales.talktalk.co.uk/product/broadband/simplybb

Was told I couldn't get this deal and best offer was £22.70 per month for 12 months and then normal price for 18 months. The rep used strong words such as promise and assure when advising the deal I was being offered was better than that on the website.

If anyone can tell me how this can be the case Id be obliged.

TIA

You are not a new customer and those deals say new customers only .

Thanks for that, cant seem to find what the price is for existing customers should be.

T&C Seem to indicate simply broadband is free while you have a contract with talk talk.

    Scratch that

Plan cost per month£7.50 a month plus line rental at £17.70 a month

quote them the plusnet new customer deal and say you are going to leave - they should drop the price considerably...
  • say you're going to leave normally tends to work....

    Hi Mitch,

If you tweet us @TalkTalkCare we can arrange for a call from our loyalty teams to discuss what offers and deals are available to you. These are subject to change and you will find that offers on one day may differ then next, as the method for calculating discounts depends on a number of variables, including your current spend, contract term, the renewal term etc.

If you have any other questions or queries please feel free to tweet us directly @TalkTalkCare

    Cheers

Hi, Like me, 15 years of loyalty,I phoned, not Tweeted, and the rep said the only deal for me to stay is £7.50 for 6 months and £15 for the next 12 months. 18 month contract. + LR at £191 upfront. Take it or leave it. Not good enough.I Will leave it, and go elsewhere.
That's for the same anytime calls and unlimited BB , what you are offering newbies at £7.50 for the full 18 months, plus vouchers.
I have praised TT to the heavens on here for ages, only to be treated as another cash cow.Looks like you want a massive turn over of customers, there's no sense in it?
    Look after those that look after you first;
They only change daily because you want them to,you have the discetion. You don't know the meaning of loyalty. That's why you are montoring the site, that many disgruntled loyal customers, fed up being treated as idiots.

Have to agree. Wifi forever randomly going slow. When you speak to customer service, they were not interested and just wanted to sell me fibre. Had an email yesterday saying they were offering me a reward for being a loyal customer... Tried to access website to see and it was not working. Granted these things can happen but when you add it onto other issues, it is not worth it.
Don’t put it down - put it away!

Hi, I have no complaints of their service over the years, but, to be told, we don't want your custom any more, except on double the price of new customers, does not go down well.
  • I like TT, never had any problems. What I don't like is the 18 month contract. Also its about time they did away with line rental or at least cut the charge. I've not made a single call on my landline for 2 years or received any, apart from the usual spam callers.

    Hi Joe,

There are various deals available, if your unhappy with the one offered you can request a different offer, your not obliged to accept the first offer made.

@Forex_Fred Line rental is in regards to the maintenance of the actual copper cable, so this is applicable regardless of what services you have/use. However if you don't use the phone at all you might want to consider our Simply BB tariff. It doesn't include any phone calls as part of the package, so the cost of the tariff is just for the BB elements of the service.

    Cheers
