Please help, computer not starting and freezing

    you just want the one the says "safe mode" on its own, no network support,should be a number against it.

    It may take a little while to boot up but when you get in just run the virus software etc as normal but this time it should be able to remove things (make sure you turn off system restore first !!)

    I had encountered similar problems when I tried to download avast. It seems there is a problem if another anti virus is installed. BE WARNED. Anyway I was pursuing advice through an avast thread, but your advice here was invaluable and particularly helpful.
