Good Morning everyone, grey and cold here today, lounge was down to 17 degrees this morning and 7 outside, not cold enough to light the stove but still a shock to the system when you've just got out of a nice warm bed!
Waiting for Mollie to arrive, housework all done and things that need sorting are sorted so if we don't get a hound to play with today I'll head up to the library and change my books and then visit the greengrocer nearby for some fruit, we're a little short.
Hope you all have a nice day, Lyn xxx.0 -
Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one. Nasty wet morning, looks like I will be lighting the fire early today. OH will be sitting about all day, nothing to do if he cannot get into the garden.
I have no real plans for the day, really should do some sewing, will see how the day goes.
Spag Bol tonight , have two small containers in the freezer, will put them together add a splash of red wine and a bit more tomato puree. The rest of the apple and blackberry crumble for dessert.0 -
I give up.
I always pick up after our canine guests, as one should; today I took Patch for her morning walk, and there was a big pile of horse-poo in the middle of the path!If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi All,
Grey this morning, but sunny now. Washing should be drying at last:T
Got CT scan tomorrow afternoon, to see if the cancer has come back. Don't feel great at the moment. Cushings symptoms are back in full. Got horrible oral thrush as part of it, horrid taste in my mouth. Got some Nystatin, but don't know if it will help.:(
Worse than that, have started periods again after 2 years:eek: That's because of the Cushings too. GRR!
Still, shouldn't moan, lots worse off than me.:o
OH here tomorrow. Looks like his mum's cottage is finally coming together, it's taken an age.
My counselling lady from the hospice coming in an hour, so I'd better go.
Have a good day all. xI Believe in saving money!!!:T

Afternoon all
Hugs to TA & hubby and anyone else in need, sorry I have brain fog, MIL has been rushed into hospital , BIL is struggling, so is FIL & hubby is in bits.
LW, my Nan used to send me out with a bag to follow the donkeys, she lived in Margate & had a garden full of roses.
I shall occupy myself with some sewing, hopefully it will keep me sane, or what passes for sane for me.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -
Hester I am sorry MIL has been taken to hospital.
It is difficult, isn't it, trying to be strong and supportive to the rest of the family? Sometimes it is you who needs a hug.
Thinking of you all

Afternoon All
Sounds like a few ((hugs)) are needed, HH, HS, TA, Snoozer, LaineyT, and FBOz's DH so grab a handful as you pass.
FBOz The dial should be in the middle of the numbers to start with, higher number to tighten lower to loosen. Could be your needle not heavy enough to go through velcro, or is blunt. Very last option (apart from taking it for a service) is a very gentle loosening of the screw in the shuttle mechanism. Like Snoozer don't know why I know either.
Off to a quiz shortly.
((hugs)), a handful of spoons for LW as I know they always come in handly, and positive vibes all round. Take care everyone. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Evening all,
Not a bad day here.....around 16c but overcast, anything except rain is fine by me.
DSILs parents arrive this evening.....they have yet to see the twins so lots of excitement....the girls are doing really well, they are now almost 11 lbs each. I made apple and chocolate cakes this morning and brought them over....if the parents are anything like their son the cakes will go down well!
Hester....sorry to hear about MIL.....hugs for you and OH and family.
Hilstep.....hugs.
TA.....long distances, my thoughts are with you and Mr TA.
Hugs and good wishes to all, stay safe and well
