Take it it's as simple as

1 turning boiler off.
2 turning both cold and heating taps offs.
3 unscrewing the caps on both the cold and heating pipes.
4 attaching the hose and turning the taps back on until desired pressure.

It should be as simple as push the end of the hose into the valve as far as it will go, then screw up the nut hand tight to hold it in place. Do the same at both ends.

OK. Sorry for the noon question but struggling gettingbthe copper bends to connect to the filling loop. From the picture below have I got the correct fittings?

Whatever I do can't seem to get a tight fit between the filling loop and the copper bends. Am I missing something here?
Any help appreciated.

Remove the nut from the filling loop valve.

Put the nut on the copper pipe.

Slide the olive onto the pipe.

Insert the pipe with olive/nut into the valve and tighten up with a wrench.

Exactly what I've done but the copper pipe just slides right out and is not grabbing .

The olive should be quite a tight fit on the copper pipe, is it?

If the olive is the correct size for the pipe, then you need to tighten it more until it grips onto the pipe.

Get an olive that fits correctly onto the tube.





That looks too loose.

The problem is finding somewhere that sells in small quantities e.g.
