Android phone slow

Options
Hi

Me again. Now I need help with my android phone. It's a Samsung.

It's got the Twilight app on it because when I read my kindle app on it, it's too bright for me, even with brightness turned down. But now there's a problem. Everytime I open a book on the kindle, the brightness and the blue light all come back on. It's like turning on the kindle is deactivating the settings I already had in place.

It used to work. Is there anything I can do? Just wondered if anyone knew. Thanks.

Also it's slow. I bought some memory for it, but it's still slow. Bit like me though so it's not as much a problem as the brightness thing, lol

I haven't heard of Twilight, but I use the Bluelight Filter app to control the brightness on my Android phone - maybe that would be worth a go?
  • Thanks esuhl!

I'll give that a go, I'm confused though because the Twilight always worked and still does, it's just with the kindle it keeps going off and I get blasted with blue light. Not good if reading in bed, I take a long time to go to sleep anyway, lol
  • It seems I haven't got much storage space left and this could cause lack of synchronisation between applications or something. I bought extra memory for the phone so I don't understand. I've got about 8 kindle books on the phone and it says amazon is using up quite a lot of space.

Wondering if I need more memory and what to buy?

Delete some apps or buy a new memory card but don't forget to check what the maximum sad card is for your phone eg don't buy a 32gb if the max is 16gb.

In the Kindle app, there is a clickable button to 'Use system brightness' in the colour/font/brightness settings when you're in a book (click on the Aa icon at the top of the page). Make sure this is set.
  • Thanks ballyblack (I thought I'd quoted you but I haven't, lol)

There's no option for 'clear the cache.' I've got about a third of empty space now. I got rid of a sound recording that went on for hours (I must have pressed it without realising as I didn't recognise any of it).

I bought some extra memory for the phone. Couldn't have been enough if it can't handle a few photographs, maybe 3 files downloaded (3 pages approx. each) and internet usage. All texts are deleted regularly.

    thanks for listening to this.

    Thanks.

I don't seem to have that many apps. Actually I've no idea how to delete them either. Not having a good day, so primitive I am, lol
