Hmmm, so it has been about 8-9 months....
So normal life is starting to get back on track, obviously I!!!8217;ve done pretty badly on the money front so I!!!8217;m just dipping my toe back in. I!!!8217;ll need to do a proper audit of debt at the weekend and catch up on diaries. And breathe!

Thanks PSL good to see you again!
Been doing baby steps, finances are in a mess so have not updated signature yet...will probably do it after next payday as there are a few too many transactions flying around just now and I!!!8217;m still getting things in order.
Been making an effort to get back into my side schemes, swaggy, inbox£ and youg0v, little bits are building up in them. I have a few ebays I can list but will leave that until next month.
Just renewed home insurance (cheaper than last year!) via tcb, got another credit card via tcb and have a missing claim from last year, that lot totals £100 cashback, so a good effort there!

  • Yeah life really gets in the way sometimes...
I quit smoking a few days ago, it’s going well.
    I can’t remember how much debt I have, it’s a lot.
My job is at risk (again) it’s been a really hard couple of years, but I survived before and I can again, I need to keep posting.

  • So my current debts are
Virgin cc 2510 on 0% until....
FD cc 2100 on 0% until March 2021
    Hfx cc 1300 on 0% until ....
Brkly cc. 2000 on 0% until June 2021

    That’s around 8k of debt :(

I do have around £700 cash saved, I need the liquidity at the moment in case my job goes so I’m leaving everything on the 0% cards with minimum monthly payments for now.

  • Looks like an NSD today as feel full of cold and can’t be bothered to go out.
Am challenging myself for January initially, but sort of until I go on holiday in mid-Feb, to save save save.
I have £18 of nectar points, and am due a payment of £14 by Feb. This means I can shop at sainsbugs in blocks of £2.50. I also need to spend £15 in Argos soon.
I am near cashing out £10 on swaggy and am due another £10 worth of points soon.
I am waiting on some tcb payouts but that’s just dribs and drabs maybe £5
I have about £8 on an Asd4 gift card
I have a free tea and cake voucher for JL
I will put £40 on my travel card andI have £15 budgeted for long distance travel plus £55 for haircut.
I need to sell about 7 items on the bay or similar, whilst I have the time.
I am also trying to keep my electric use down, it hasn’t been really cold yet so no heating on, no heated dryer needed just yet

  • Insomnia is back, oh well once this lurgy has moved on and my days are back to normal I will be able to sit down and do a new SOA and some difficult planning for the near future.
I need around £1100 per month just to cover regular outgoings (mortgage, elec, water, tv, internet, mobile, council tax, minimum cc payments) so around £1300 would be a good minimum to aim for, saving £750 per month, for as many months as I can.
As I-have a lot of free time at the moment I really need to think of ways to turn that into cash, number one idea is to try some matched betting.
Besides making money I need to fill my time with free stuff- exercise, museums, library, reading, cooking, house painting etc. There is plenty to be done. I also need to re-kondo several areas of the house.

  • New 0% Bkly card has been set up and transfers made.

    So current debt is
    Dibs- £100
P off- not sure, hopefully about £100
Bkly- £4300 0% to July 2021, min £100 per month
Hfax- £1300 0% to Oct 2020, min £13 per month
FD- £1900 0% to March 2021, min £58 per month

Total debt £7700 so actually a little less than I guessed.

I will only pay the minimum for the time being, due to employment uncertainty. I may decide to pay off dibs and P off when I get paid, just to be rid of them.

I also now have a clear v!rgin cc for emergencies and will have a clear dibs. Both offer money transfers and v can be used for a balance transfer in Oct for Hfax if necessary.

Time for me to look for some ways to generate cash!!!
