Thanks PSL. The daily posts are helping. I'm feeling more mindful. Back on the eBay trail, got a bunch more stuff to list today. I was a bit worried that interest rates might go up in Nov. And already I can see prices rising at the supermarket. Good that I'm back on the money watching.
Got a few more bits up for sale on the bay. Tried to sell a few of them before and there were no takers. It seems similar items have sold recently so one more try before they get donated.
The handbag I bought recently got damaged at the wedding, I thought of chucking it the next day and was convinced not to. It is beyond fixing, luckily before it went in the bin I checked the pocket and found £10 in it :) done a few more yougov surveys and that is at £21, nearly halfway to cash out

  • Prices are rising And life is so expensive. I don't understand how anyone manages living on their own. I'm resorting to toast or cereal and fruit for tea in effort not to spend any more money from bank account till payday. Not easy at all. xxx

  • 200 squid to last the month...will I do it? Acquired an extra £25 by way of an apology from the bank, they messed up my savings transfer two months in a row. £10 earned on the bay plus a bill for £2.50 for items listed/sold so far. £20 inbo£ cheque has arrived as has £5 from swaggy. So I'm quite rich really!

  • Wow. If I was a bit more "woo" I might think I was attracting money or something :) got a letter from the landlord saying that Iwill get a £35 rebate in Oct. Bay sales ended with a total of...£50!!! Have not smoked for a few days which also helps a lot. No major spends over the weekend, just a bit of shopping and the odd coffee. I have got to do some planning and prep for xmas and next year starting next week. Back to being organised! I really need to update my signature as well

  • Popping back just to keep my resolve strong! Not much of note happening, other than just trying to be good. Doing a bit of planning for xmas and next year, time to make some lists!
The news about interest rates has spooked me. My job has now been made permanent (hooray!) so now need to see if there is a better mortgage deal out there.

  • Hmm I may need to do daily check ins or something. Finally updated the signature. Very slow progress in the last few months paying down the cc debt BUT £100 per month also going in the saver so come April next year a nice wedge will mature and pay off a chunk in one go.

  • Progress is progress. Down is down. Dont worry about the speed. And £100 a month in saving is brilliant.
I love your posts. Keep them coming - no pressure. xxx
