Please do not take offence but to be honest, I think you have your priorities wrong. The amount of interest you will be getting on your savings will be a pittance compared to how much you are being charged on your debts. If I were you I would use your savings to clear the aqua, luma and capital one accounts. You will then be able to work on the others while also putting some away for your holiday. However the fact you are still looking at getting another credit card and are already talking about increasing the limit shows you have not had your light bulb moment yet.

My Asda order came today and it's 89.69 so a little less than what I though it was.

I'm thinking of using my savings challenge fund to pay off my Aqua card next month, what I have already plus Mays savings amount should cover most of the balance. Then I can use the £35 I would normal pay to Aqua to pay Cashplus meaning £70 to that next month. Cashplus is my next target.

  • So we didn't go to the beer festival instead I spent £15 at the local pub. This money came out of the cash I had already gotten out, I have a few £ left. Need £10 for a birthday gift and some food for work but shouldn't need to spend too much this week :)

Spent all morning sorting in YNAB. I'm not using the online version yet as you have to pay a monthly fee and most of my banks/credit cards aren't on their system yet so sticking to YNAB 4 for now.

I moved my credit cards from 'debt' and 'off budget' to 'pre-ynab' and 'on budget' took me a while to do and now my budget doesn't balance! I've balanced my bank account & everything budgeted for had been spent but I'm told I have £12.23 to budget with for March but I had £16.23 in my bank account before payday.

I see the 'available to budget' once the month is over as what is left in my bank account all other months workout just not March!!

Gave up on trying to work out where the extra £4 went so just budgeted for it in a unused category and just hid it ;) Got £90.60 in my food/spends account to last til 22nd April so in 3 weeks times. I do have £106 in my bank/savings account though.

I have a big spend in May (holiday) £250 so budgeting for that and anything I don't have in my 'bills account' to cover my budget I shall transfer from the bank/savings account. I shall be dong this each month if needed. This of course will be replenished via bank/extra shifts.

So I'm looking at changing gyms. I really don't like the one I current 'go' to so looking at joining a Health club as for some reason I tend to enjoy going to them and make it work while, whereas at a cheaper gym I join then never go.

Not very MSE but it's my 'hobby'.

I can't help thinking about buying a property! I had a play around with my budget and removed debt payments, rent, spends + food and found I would have £900 left without my OH's share of bills to me. Would a lender want estimates on food bills etc?

Now to make the most of the governments equity loan scheme (the only way I think I could buy) I'd need a deposit by 2020 of 5%, unfortunately it's only on new builds and not many around here or in a price range I could afford.

On my terrible wage I'd only be looking at a mortgage for £60k ish. If job improvement goes to plan (training) I'd be looking at a much better mortgage offer but not till 2020/21 so too late for equity loan. [STRIKE]I'm hoping the new starter home scheme will run for longer.[/STRIKE] nope I'll be too old :(
