    Hi everyone,

Welcome, Doris and Lainey. Dumpling, I hope you feel better soon. TA, I would ring if I were you - from experience I know it is easy to drop through the cracks and miss an appointment because something went wrong with the communication.

I've nearly finished a top I'm sewing for myself, I'm reasonably pleased with it, although the material is very tricky - it was a very cheap piece of fabric and is really fine so it's difficult to work with. If I like it though I have some better material to use to make another.

W'll be going up to Yorkshire on Thursday - the first time for a couple of months because of the wedding and other things. DH will com back by train on Monday and then return next Thursday so I'll be there alone for a few days so I need to sort out some sewing to take.

    Have a good day.
  • Morning all,

Hello to Doris and Lainey :)

Had the second day of my first aid course yesterday. Now I need to see if the way accidents are reported is the same as it was five years ago. Knowing my workplace, probably not. It was IMO inadequate then...

Cleaned through this morning and taken some mince out the freezer for bolognaise tonight.

Surprised by how cold it was out this morning - Winter's on it's way.

    Have a happy day :)

I had some! Didn't have to kill for it fortunately. :j

I've got a risky wash in the machine, the weather is bright but cold so I hope it dries OK. Now off to wash the inside of the upstairs windows and clear up all the dead flies. They love coming into the house and then just die. Yuck!

Windows and frames cleaned... Most of the dirt is on the outside unfortunately but they do look a little better.

    Afternoon All

Just popping in to say :hello: to the newbies, and  to everyone else.

Judi I know exactly how you feel, Tuna Salad for us tonight, and I could also kill for something, nice and sweet! Just having another black coffee to help, and trying to drink 3L of water a day too!

We were forecast some rain today out here, and even though we woke up to a very grey sky, it has decided it doesn't want to drop here and we have the blue sky back. Sun due back tomorrow, but the heat we have been having is cooling back to 22-23C which is much nicer.

((hugs)), spoons & positive vibes all round. Take care everyone. DG

    Wave hello to DG

    TA

I would too, just to check something has not got lost in the post etc.

Met older dd in York and treated her to a shoulder bag and a new coat/jacket as early birthday present. In fact found two jackets she liked which fitted her so bought them both.

Came home and put a large pot of chicken broth on the hob and has just tried some which I really enjoyed.

    Hugs to all.
