any experts on Spanish Broadband

hi everyone.I am trying to help out my Brother who lives in Lliber Alacante Spain.
As I am afraid of flying I keep intouch with my Brother via Skype. Trouble is his Broadband is crap and keeps dropping .His current supplier is movistar who provide internet via saterlite link but its very poor.
Anyone have any ideas for improvment ?
