Never received ticket or letter but now with debt collectors

Toothless debt collectors cannot do anything, do not worry.0

Thanks for taking the time to reply guys (and / or gals).
Is it worth phoning up the company to try and clarify the creditor issue and determine whether the omission of "UK" was simply a mistake?0 -
DO NOT PHONE THEM!! EVER!!
Never phone a debt collector or a parking company. They are disreputable companies who will try and trip you up and record the call. They're only interested in your money and will say anything to scare you into paying.
I'm having a think about this.Je Suis Cecil.0 -

It did happen in that time period though I believe we had a redirect service with the postal service. Perhaps it never got forwarded or just fell through the cracks.
I guess I was wondering seeing as we never got a letter (or a windscreen ticket) regardless of the reason whether we had a right to ask for some evidence that they tried to contact us and whether it influences the usual advice.
It could explain why this is the first you've heard of the incident but do not contact them for any "evidence" as it will just take your name to the top of their pile of people to extort0
