Good Morning all and my pal ;)

Off to Chester to the dentists and look round a few shops .

Mhoc and anyone else who may be interested I saw a moc in the Woman magazine yesterday for two free drinks at Thorntons cafe s only until the 25 though I believe.

Also there s a £15 off a £30 spend in M & B in Good Houskeeping .All info in Martins weekly email :)

    ta for this :j

I will check this hot chocolate voucher out today. They had this voucher a while back and we went to the Thorntons caf! in Liverpool

    http://www.thorntons.co.uk/content.jsp?pageName=cafethorntons

these are the locations - its a motley collection, mainly retails parks

this will make up for the lack of John Lewis vouchers :)

not sure how much the mag is - 90p? a good use for random small value APGs or TPPs or if you plan on several visits get 3 copies for £2.70 and use nectar points :)

£2 or £1 a bag whichever works out higher.

    resolve.

Thank you. Is that .co.uk? If so it says new resolve website coming soon. Might be able to deal with it myself yet. Sabichi are saying a leaking kettle has not been cared for. They are being ridiculous. I wish I had never bought the set from them for DDs last Christmas :(

    Good morning all....

bright but cold this morning....I have nothing planned for the day...that doesn't happen often so I really am going to make the most of doing nothing!!

    have a great day all.
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend
  • Well, that was almost disappointing. As a "gesture of goodwill" Sabichi are sending out a new kettle!!! It only took one extra email!

I expect that you have put up relevant photos and a description of the problem on your their facebook and twitter feed - its a good place to start sorting out a problem

I've found twitter a great place for initiating sorting out problems and the response is usually very quick

I had a collective yogurt with a leaky bottom so I tweeted Collective Diaries a photo with details, only noticed because of the shelf mess. I had a response the same day even though it was a Sunday and I sent more photos and details - shop, expiry date etc and by mid week they had sent me some vouchers :T.

Earlier this year the handle fell off my John Lewis crock pot. This was a complicated one because I was emotionally attached to it, well that's typical of me.
Also they no longer sold that type - it was a very lovely sage green.
so I tweeted them photos and details - where the handle had broken off was not on the seam where it attached but on the handle itself so it must have been an air pocket or hair line fracture of some sort in the handle.
Firstly they suggested I should take it back to John Lewis so I explained our nearest was Liverpool and it would mean an odd excursion on the train and a walk across the city lugging a heavy crock pot.
So then they were going to give me £15 credit, the original value. I had a look on the website but there was nothing equivalent as a direct replacement so I was going to get the nearest equivalent and pay the extra £10.
and then they just asked for my details and put £15 into my account - how good is that :D
