Spiderman too is £1 in M, so these are going onto the list (even though they're at 181g:wall::rotfl:). (I have noticed that the others have gone up from £1 in A to £1.48, so I'm updating that now, thank you very much!:))

Watch these all immediately shoot up in price in M tomorrow so they'll all have to be crossed straight off:rotfl:. (I've no knowledge of any future changes, if I did I could just do all the changes now from the comfort of my own home without having to visit M: it's just sod's law, if I'm making some amendment on a Sunday night, you know they'll put it up in price on the Monday:rotfl:!)

So I've got four cupcakes to track on Monday now instead of two:(:rotfl:. Plus the Sponge Mix of course;).

(That should be vs T, the S/P Sponge Mix, if T is still slightly higher weighted than A or M and therefore compares vs T at 1p lower in price:rotfl::rotfl:.)

Oh well, enough of cake mix updating tonight, I'm off now so see you all later! It's all my attempts to try to keep track of these offers. You can imagine can't you - me valiantly trying to keep up with them all, I think the madness of it is part of the attraction for me sometimes. I'll see if I can go to M (and M and M:mad::p:cool:;):rotfl:) tomorrow - see how things go on that one. Goodbye!:D:wave:

Sunday Trading is due to be discussed again in the next few weeks or so in Parliament as to whether trading hours should be relaxed further or not so that the high street can compete with online.

I have mixed feelings. On one hand it is very frustrating not being able to shop when you want/have time as we are not all free at the same time. It is also frustrating in circumstances like today where 1p items suddenly appear but there is no time to chase up (or remembering at the last minute that you need a present etc). On the other, I don't fully see how adding more hours will give the claimed economic boost as we all have an amount we are likely to spend on shopping and opening longer may just spread that same spend over more time - same spend, increased costs for stores and different shift patterns for staff. The staff issue, though seeing it would require changes, may be no different for retail than many other sectors where weekend working is required (including hotels, restaurants and other leisure services, plus emergency services etc).

I don't completely see the religious argument as we can go to church (or other religions' places of worship, given the multi cultural and multi belief nature of society today) when the services are on and when the shops are open for others. Some people like to shop on their day(s) of rest, others are off on different days and it should be irrelevant whether shops are open or closed as to whether you spend time with your family :A.

Scottish shops can stay open, elsewhere in the UK they have more restrictions. Is there evidence that Scottish society is damaged by this? Does it really make a difference (or sense) that T Express, S Local etc can stay open but the bigger stores can't? The protecting small businesses argument is also not fully thought through, as most people will choose or not to use local shops or chains regardless of their Sunday trading times (and near us, the little shops tend to have similar opening times on Sunday to the larger stores in many cases).

That said, Sunday does still have a special place in many people's and family's lives. It will be interesting to see what develops.

Just my thoughts, shopping related so not too off topic :)

Scottish society is already damaged by being in Scotland having Jimmy Cranky in charge !
