Hi,
I phoned LLoyds today for an update,
They said that the complaint is with the next level, whatever that means!0 -
Hi
Phoned lloyds again for an update, they said no decision has been made, and that there isn't a timeframe for them to make a descision, and they will write when they have made a decision.
where do I go from here?
thanks0 -
You have 8 weeks from the complaint for them to look at it, after that you can refer them to the FOS though this is likely to mean up to 2 years delay which they keep on through the backlog so up to you, I'd wait on lloyds personally
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Might be worth giving Lloyds some more time.
However, make sure you do not leave it longer than 6 months from the date of their final response letter - which you have already had.
If you leave it longer than 6 months, you will be unable to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service if you are unhappy with Lloyds' response.
You can, if you want, refer your complaint now.0 -
Nothing to apologise for. The question is not about what you told the bank, it is about the suitability of the product - so tigerbelle's comments are inappropriate.spaniels_rule wrote: »I apologise.
I put my real D.O.B.
I suggest you call the Financial Ombudsman Service on 0800 023 4 567 (its free) and ask them if you should respond further to Lloyds.
The reason I suggest this is that it will put you into the FOS record (assuming you give your personal details and those of the complaint). This should prevent Lloyds from running the clock down so that you go out of time.
I would not give Lloyds more than one chance to change their minds, though.0 -

Sorry mudpiecottage but I disagree - it is not unheard of for people to misrepresent themselves when applying for a loan and for young people to inflate their age which was why it was necessary to be specific in the questions asked about the details of the loan application. Especially as being under 18 at the time of taking out the loan would be a key criteria for mis-selling.
If the OP had lied about his age and thereby commited fraud to obtain the loan I would suggest his grounds for complaint at best would become a little trickier to manage.
As it was, asking the questions got the point about his age clarified and as this one fact is key to his complaint it was valid to push the question to get the correct facts to ensure the correct advise.
OP, fingers crossed you get a positive outcome with the re-opened complaint.0 -
Thank you for deliberately altering my name, thereby clearly demonstrating that you are troll whom the OP and others should ignore.tizerbelle wrote: »mudpiecottage0 -

There was absolutely no need for this. MagpieCottage is an extremely helpful poster who has offered a great deal of quality advice and information, particularly regarding PPI.
You can make a point without being insulting and calling people names, you know.0 -
Thanks Guys,
Its been around 3 weeks since the case has been reopened by Lloyds.
Do I do anything more? Is there a time frame for reopened cases?0 -
Not sure, but you do need to slow down. Patience is a virtue. Three weeks is probably not long enough, I'd allow them eight. Is there a time frame for reopened cases?0
