Double the difference/Debit card fraud

Hi All
I wanted to post this story as it is quite funny I suppose...
Basically - on Thursday I shopped in Asda picking up some essentials for my GF as she has just had an operation and come home (late night 1.30am, peppermint tea run). The shop came to £12.50 and I had approx 250 in my account at the time.
The next day (Friday) I checked my bank account and I was somehow overdrawn by £60 odd quid - very confused I called my bank (Barclays) who informed me that there was a transaction by Tesco for £356.27 made last night. In my tired state....I got Asda and Tesco mixed up and thought that I had simply been overcharged. I called Tesco who confirmed the transaction and said they would call me back in the morning.
So this morning - I get a call from customer services (Tesco) who say that, yes I was overcharged and I could take my receipt in to the store (no longer had the receipt) and speak to customer services who would pay me back double the difference. My god I thought - What a great start to the weekend - £677 back in to my account!
So off I go to ASDA (where I shopped...not TESCO which I still hadn't twigged on yet...) marched up to customer services, the lady gets her manager and we start arguing about the refund and double the difference. She asks me to provide proof - I don't have the receipt so I log on to my banking app and show her the £356.27 coming out of the account. To which she says....thats Tesco. Not Asda. wow.....confused is an understatement!
So anyway - very embarrassingly, I apologize for wasting her time and walk out of the store, confused and deflated. I call Tesco back up and get to someone who cant find the charge or account or address (apparently they cannot search by transaction amounts or time made and because I never made it they also don’t know for which account or where the goods were delivered). I am told to ring my bank.
I ring Barclays and they are now investigating fraudulent activity and my card is blocked. Absolutely rubbish – I’m overdrawn, don’t have access to money and don’t have an extra £357

So, if I pick the pertinent parts out to disregard your confusion (agreed, it is a bit funny, certainly the way you wrote it);
You shopped at Asda, you did not shop at Tesco, a charge was made at Tesco - and NOT by you?
If so, then surely it's quite correct that Barclays have blocked your card to prevent any further fraudulent transactions? Are they sending you a new card?
Presumably, they will also be able to refund the fraudulent amount (once they've determined that it definitely wasn't your fault) and any OD charges incurred due to that.0
