Down to what? 99? 98?
I have many more than your 5 or so accounts where my money or my identity would be at risk. For that I need a password safe. And since I use it, why not using it for everything including forums etc.?
So you use 98-99 web apps/sites that it is absolutely critical that each of these passwords is 100% mega secure ??
Either you work for the NSA or you are a wierdo0 -

Thanks for that. Just to name a few, online shops, email accounts, domain control panels, online casinos/sportsbooks, encryption keys...
Then I'm a sysadmin and have more than one client
After all this is a techie forum, so the majority here will have similar amounts of passwords. I know, we're all weirdos
Edit: Forgot to mention that I use different user names and email addresses for each site too. Then the occasional "DOB" some sites ask for. How do you remember all those?0 -
I am a penetration tester, have worked as a desktop/server consultant for over 20 years
Yes I am techie
No, I don't have 99 passwords to remember..
Let me break this down for you by hypothetical example
I have a customer, whos domain I control, they are called "cats toys dot com", they are my 12th customer on my books .
example passphrase "my secret password for the control of cats toys dot com",
= password "mspftcoctdc12"
No need for password safes - just use your brain0 -
That's a rubbish passwordChanging the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0

Seems astonishingly complicated. And how do you record additional information, like second level security codes?I am a penetration tester, have worked as a desktop/server consultant for over 20 years

What's the objection to a password safe that makes all this a doddle, and allows you to use passwords that are far more secure?0 -
http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/security.pngPut passwords in Excel (2007+ Excel passwords are hard to break).
Then encrypt the driving using Truecrypt.
GCHQ/NSA will kick you physically until you reveal the password. They won't be attempt to break Truecrypt password

Another vote for 1Password. One of my essential apps.0

I use Intuitive Password online password manager. It's a web-based password manager and your data is securely stored in the datacenter. With Intuitive Password, you can easily access your data at any time, any where. It works on all devices without installation.0

Probably. A recommendation coming from someone who signed up to make it is surely enough to rule it out anyway.0
