good luck palerie, i also received a court date, for the 11th october, to have my judgement set aside.
if i dont turn up does it just get automatically set aside
Does it say in your order that it is a hearing to have the case set aside or the have the defence reinstated?
Best of luck! You must let us know how you get on. I've not heard from anyone who has had such a hearing yet - so it will be very interesting to see what happens on the 11th.0 -
is there a dress code for court?0
-
i wish your hearing was first.. at least i'd know whether to bother to turn up or not lol.
it says "the hearing for the defendants application for judgement to be set aside will take place at 10:30 on the 11 october 2007 blah blah0 -
Hmm, different to mine then. Mine says it is a hearing to have the defence reinstated. Same thing though apparently.
lol about me going first. Chicken!
As for dress code, I'm going to go for smart, but I'm not sure there is a code as such.0 -
Help ! Had judgement in default against Halifax 20/08/2007 to be paid by 28/08/2007.
Had letter from court saying , hearing of defendants application for judgement to be set aside will take place on 30/10/2007
What does this mean? What do I do now? please help ! Thanks0 -
I have been claimimg my bank chargers through money claim online. I have followed it all the through with the northham county court, won the judgement sent the bailiffs twice.
Now the Halifax has had the court changed to one in where my local branch is and applied for a hearing of application for setting aside the judgement.
Not sure what all this means and do I need to go to this hearing.
The last time I spoke to the halifax, they said the were waiting for the test case to finish.
Don't know what to do please help if you have been in same situation.
Thanks:rolleyes:0 -
If you sent the bailiffs in twice..how come is it they didnt gain anything??0

I've merged a couple of posts with this thread and I see Chris was/is due at court today so hopefully all went well.0

just thought i'd give an update
i never went to court, i saw peoples judgements were getting set aside, going to court would have meant having to buy some new clothes n stuff and i decided to draw a line and not waste more cash on this pointless court case, i know this is what the bank was hoping would happen but they would have got what they wanted at the end of the day anyway.
sorry to disappoint any of you0
