Hello Everyone

Hope you don't mind me joining! I'm new to this whole comping thing and have definitely picked an interesting time to start! I'm currently trying to pay off debts but thinking it would be nice to try and win some bits and bobs I can't really afford just now.

I'm not EXPECTING to win anything and just see it as a bit of fun/ way to pass the time being skint. However looking on Twitter (which I'm not very good at yet) and Facebook it seems you have to beg, plead and give an X-Factor worthy sob story to win anything.

I will keep entering to see how I get on. Good luck to you all, I am glad I found this part of the forum.

Well done for not letting it take over your life, and :rotfl: for the Fish slice. I have been trying to win one of those forever, I swear I would be as excited by that as by an actual worthwhile prize

Forgot how tiring doing all these were! But I've been lucky ... Just had my third advent win and its only the 4th an oven glove on day1, rabbit toys on day 3 and a candle on day 4.

I am so behind on the advents today because I went the gym this morning, first time in ages-did me the world of good. will sadly not be able to go for a while as it turns out I have chicken pox!:(Thought I had the flu last week, felt a bit better around Wednesday- I have terrible skin anyway so didn't think anything of it when spots appeared but when my mother saw me this evening she just went 'chicken pox'. I wouldn't mind but I had them twice as a kid, both times ended up in hospital-I don't have much of a immune system. cant for the life of figure out where I've got them from as I don't really go out. No wins as of yet, but I haven't found much worth entering so not surprising! Not many decent prizes though I've noticed, although this is my first year with the advents so I don't have anything to compere to. Is this standard or is there a change in what is usually up for grabs in the advents?
