I'd go to them, I've missed amny winning for waiting around.Just don't get obsesive...that won't make you win any better.

I never even thought about it.....but now that I have I also agree...

I'm just going to skim them whenever I sit down to do a feed and see what comes of it haha

I started comping about a month ago.. I was NOT prepared for advents :eek:

I have just spent ages on the comp boards looking for comps that are not "Advents" :eek:

A few questions that I hope don't sound rude as they are certainly not mean to be.

I made my Bookmark of Advent comps from Sleepy Jones' thread, but the comps are being posted daily on the main board.

The dupes folks would be voiceless :rotfl:

I basically want to know if folks are opening them from the main board or from the dedicated thread?

If the thread then why duplicate them on the main board, and if the main board why did Sleepy Jones go to all the time and effort to make a dedicated thread when people aren't using it?

Did this happen in previous years?
I don't remember there being so many Advents on the main board the last few years, but as I said I am downloading my comps from the Advents thread

I tend to go from the main thread tbh & then I mop up through the advents thread if I have time, a lot of them are updated daily & then are bumped on the main board

But they are in both places - the advents thread is simply (!) a collation of links to the main board. This isn't duplication, it is indexing.

I believe they were always on the main board in previous years.

Or are you saying that each day a new post is being made on the main board?

I have noticed a few advents on the main board that haven't been added to the advents thread, which is a bit annoying, but I've also seen people adding un-added threads to the advents, which is good!

I generally don't have a system for entering, I just go through the advents thread and click on the one's that I like the name of (ie, I ignore something that sounds like something I don't want, the perfect example being the Mary kay one, I know that'll probably be mainly make up so I just skip it). So, i no doubt miss a lot because they havn't been added to advents.

What would be good is if people are posting a new day's link, could you please also include what todays prize is, save me (and no doubt a lot of others, who are a bit more selective of what they're entering) a lot of clicking through.

I'm working the main board today, as I missed quite a lot yesterday. After (if!) I get through that I will mop up by going through the thread and my bookmarks. Didn't make it to the gym yesterday because a family friend rang and said she was having a parcel diverted to our house and I was the only person in yesterday, she said it was being delivered in the morning..it turned up at 14:45! and today i'm stuck in waiting for the Sky guy to come, so my net will be down for about an hour or two while he's here so I'll be swamped again afterwards has anyone else noticed some threads disappearing? or is it just my dodgy searching and eyesight?
