I've got one of these and it's a great phone. Mid range handset, normally £145 unlocked. It's £99 between 3 pm and 7 pm today.

I looked a several phones before buying one of these.
It's better than things like the Samsung S4 mini, Sony E4G and the Motorola Moto g in my opinion.

No thanks, an 8GB Alcatel, I'd maybe consider it at £49 but certainly not at £100 and definitely not at its current price of £150.

I Agree with d125 especially the 8gb it's nothing these days runs out so quick.
Before someone says you can use the SD card yes but there are lots of apps don't like being transferred across and won't work properly.

why can't the manufacturers use a minimum of 16gb instead of 8gb internal memory? surely it cant be that more expensive?

is it a ploy to get users to use more data via cloud services?

    .

It's probably because they want to actually make some profit on the sale of the device.

16GB of memory retails at around £4, a phone maker would get it much cheaper wholesale.

For a phone costing £150 its unforgivable to only have 8GB, the cost is minuscule compared to the selling price.

That £4 might be the difference between profit and loss at this end of the market.

Still think thre networks prefer low memory so they can charge for data via cloud transfer

Maybe at £29.99 or even £49.99, not at £149.99.

Well without knowing the figures, we'll never know.
