@umkomaas - i'm new to this forum and all forums. sorry

No need to apologise, we can help you much better by dealing with separate threads for different tickets, then there's no (potentially costly) confusion as to how to deal with each one. - especially where PE are involved.

    No worries.

I have since got another letter from DRP saying similar things. Again the amount is £150

I have only come across the fact, PE did send me a POPLA code last year. But as I felt they had totally ignored my very detailed appeal. I either ignored the POPLA or felt I would be wasting my time trying again or just did not realise at the time what it was.

Should I just ignore DRP or do something now?

    hoo-hoo - it's not a hospital.
#3 - 'no, it is in a town centre, with a few shops there'

Does that make a difference to your very long and kinds response above?

Replace 'hospital' with town centre. It depends on the landowner. For instance, Morrisons allow PE to go to court. Aldi don't.

But Wednesday may change everything, either way.

As per this link from traceynob on the first page of this thread

    https://bmpa.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/203589972-Debt-Recovery-Plus

    The letters from DRP continue

1/10/15 - Demand for payment of an unpaid parking charge
15/10/15 - Notice of intended court action
30/10/15 - Letter before referral for legal action

    Still ignore them?
What do you guys advise please

The advice is always the same - ignore debt collector letters. The fact that PE are involved, who are so quick to resort to the small claims court without using debt collectors, suggests they don't have the principal's authority to pursue charges at court.

Don't ignore a LBCCC from PE (NOT from the debt collectors - they can't issue one) or real stamped court papers. Wednesday coming is an important day in the world of private parking. Things could change after the Supreme Court judgment. Keep your eyes peeled for forum analysis later on Wednesday.

  • I'm guessing every letter gave you a deadline to pay? And every time you missed a deadline, they have taken action by..........sending another letter. It sort of makes a mockery of all the previous deadlines they have given you. So don't let them get to you, just see them as what they are, nothing but begging letters.....Hopefully they will offer you a reduced payment soon, then you know they are really getting desperate.....:)

Is the advice now, just pay up?
  • just think for a moment , PE do not blink an eye lid in instigating court action , in most cases

why involve DR+ ? , is it because they have not got permission from the landowner , or maybe there facts are flawed , and they could easily be shot down in court

if after reading all the replies on this thread you still cannot see thu the scam , then pay up!

What, pay £150 odd to DRP?

Nope. Wait and see if you get a LBCCC which would be back down to £100. Hoohoo already told you this.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
