parking eye, now DRP Ltd, maybe going to court?

Hello there,
I am new to MSE Forums.
I got a parking ticket from Parking Eye Feb 2014 for £60
I challenged it and wrote to them.
They ignored it and sent me more rubbish.
So I ignored them.
Got another letter from them last year. Saying had gone upto £100.
Not heard anything for ages.
Now they have sent it to DRP Limited. A debt recovery agent.
It has now gone upto £150.
Say I need to pay by 15 Oct or may take it to court.

Please advise what I should do, dear forumites.
Thank you very much

Ignore DRP completely and wait for the Barry Beavis v ParkingEye Supreme Court outcome.

    NHS site or not?

OK, I only asked because PE don't try court (yet) at NHS sites, generally. But recently some of us have noticed they have sent out DRP letters more (even re retail sites where normally they'd have sued) while they wait for the Beavis outcome. So read up on Barry Beavis v ParkingEye (such as in the Parking Prankster's blogs) and when we have the outcome which should make the news later this month, you can make a more informed decision.

For now, sit tight and just research what Beavis is all about.

Can you prove you appealed in 2014? Please don't say you posted a letter when there was always a perfectly useful online appeals page which they would not have ignored?

I did appeal online, but they wrote back, as if they had either not received it, or not read it, or totally ignored the very detailed info I wrote in my appeal
    Can I prove it? NO
I did it online, and clicked on send.

If they behaved as you say, they would be daft to try court. Mr Beavis ignored PE, in this case it appears that PE are ignoring you.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

It was originally £60, then £100, now £150
If they take it to court, how much can it go upto?

As stated above DRP will not take you to court, they are liars!
  • Don't worry, I have had at least six letters now from DRP with every one threatening court & bailiffs. My demand initially went from £100 to £160 but the latest one has gone back down to £128, in the hope that I'll be so relieved I pay up. As everyone says on here, debt collectors are best ignored, they can't take you to court, all they can do is use more and more red writing, SCARY CAPITALS and lots of underlined bold!!!
