Baileysbabe - I haven't made any pesto this year, but when I do, I always save the little clear plastic pots from hummous, etc, & freeze it in those. It works absolutely fine, so I'm sure your experiments will work.
Glad everyone's up for trying some different curry recipes. I've only made one Hairy Bikers curry. It was Lentil & Butternut squash & it's lovely. Had to buy an ingredient I hadn't used before - asofeotida - but It did add a different vibe to the dish. Makes big portions & freezes well too.

Hey hey

Typing this while dd is breaking her heart about puppy farms on Watchdog. Bless her...
I feel exhausted tonight, but I do every single night and I still don't sleep right through. Ah well. DH is still really down about life, the universe and everything but he needs to look after himself a bit.

investigate the possibility of PPI on a loan I had 16 years ago which I thought was out of time for a claim but may not be.Crazy Cat Lady, a statute of limitations means banks don't need to keep PPI records after six years. However, there is no official cut-off time for you to attempt to claim. It is easier to do this if you still have the paperwork.
I would advise you to read this easy, but thorough, guide to claiming. There are PPI template letters on this page too. (Link)
Thanks for this advice Ally - I remember getting it as a graduate loan when I finished at uni, except I stayed on and did a PhD - so I never had a proper income or anything. And I actually remember cancelling the PPI to lower the payments after a couple of years. It has to be worth it for the cost and time of a letter, although I am going to put it on the weekend list as I don't think I'll have time tomorrow either. Pleased to hear that your OH has survived the dreaded dentist as well - hope she's feeling better soon. What are your plans for when you are debt free?
Well I had a few plans. One was to replenish my emergency fund, and then save for double glazing (we still have single glazed windows here), and I always wanted to take the kids to America before they grew up and left. But I don't know how I'll actually feel when I get there. Plus, with dh health being so very dodgy at the moment - I wouldn't be too surprised if we end up losing his income for a bit so we'll just have to wait and see. I'm desperate to have it clear by Christmas. It feels so close I can almost touch it now.
How is the pup doing now? Hope he's better.
CLF - hope you are on the up soon. It is absolutely ok just to feel rubbish for the sake of it though. Be kind to yourselfNot giving up

Hi All
Well I got chicken food and discovered that whilst at work a fox has taken all but 2! Poor girls. Sadly foxes will come in the day if sufficiently tempted by yummy takeaway chucks. I am so sad. Last 2 have now enough food for 3 months and I will leave them in their special fox proof run from now on. Very sad as they love the orchard. Poor chucks.
Anyway after training and lovely lunch I visited A**is and spent £80. But I have cancelled Mr T on saturday as fridge is now full to busting and I have already batch cooked stew some for tomorrow and some for farmers lunches from the freezer. So really only £40 of excessive spend. No self control thats my problem, but no doubt we will eat it.
Glad to hear Bob is OK and looking forward to being home with her family. Happiest days of my life were with my babies.
Have a good night all. Maria.0 -
