Libra 310P Gas Meter Pay as you go or bill

Hi,

Just moved in to a council house and was told the gas and eletric was through a regular pay through direct debit supply and was given readings and number for british gas to ring.

Today when gas man came to uncap gas he said it was pay as you go (pre-paid is it?), so just wondered are Libra 310P Gas Meters pay as you go or can tthey be either?

Only reason why I dont really understand why it would be pre-paid is the council provided the readings and the number to ring and british gas didnt mention that it was on anything different so quite confused.

Thanks, Matt

That model is a smart meter which I think can be set to run as a PPM or as a conventional credit meter. Check with BG when you phone to register with your readings.
