Mobile phone insurance question
Basically, rang up EE and reported my iPhone 6 as lost, gave them all the details, Imei number etc. So EE are sending me a new phone tomorrow, but then the club i lost it in called ring me saying they have found it now and to come and collect it tomorrow.
Will the old phone still work? Do EE disable it so it never works again or have I now got two iPhones?!??!

You tell EE and stop the claim, or commit fraud. Up to you.0 -
If you proceed with the claim, the old phone becomes the property of the insurance company.0

Cancel the claim and thus any excess you will not pay, do NOT accept delivery of replacement, tell courier to return to sender.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0

The sim card on your phone will have been suspended and the handset blacklisted. Call EE technical support first and tell them you've got the phone back and ask them to 'unsuspend' and exclude it from the blacklist. If the insurers have already sent you out a new phone and sim card then your old sim can't be reactivated. After you speak to Tech support get them to transfer you to the insurers. If you go ahead with the replacement you'll have to pay the excess (£75?). ~Don't just refuse the replacement without first speaking to the insurers. Good luck.0

Of course speak to EE and insurers, I maybe should have said that, but do not sign for delivery until you have spoke to them, its not a upgrade you can return under the Distance Selling Regs once you sign for the phone its completely at the insurers/EE discretion if you can return it and get your excess fee back as you have signed for ownership of the replacement.
A sim replacement fee is going to be much cheaper than a insurance excess, EE may give you it free, Orange were £10 replacement before the EE merger, I have no idea how much EE charge for replacement.
Edit: Orange plan sims are free, EE or T-Mobile network logo sims are £10.20

All new EE connections are on T-Mobile network coded sims, Orange network sims are no longer issued as new just replacement and a backhaul must be in a warehouse somewhere, hopefully you are on a Orange EE planSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies...
