PIP - claiming 50% car tax reduction

After a worrying two weeks, I finally have my documents back from DVLA and my car is now taxed. :money:
But it seems that my PIP entitlement letter has now been stamped by DVLA, just like a passport, so everytime I need to send my original PIP letter away for proof, will it be stamped every single time?
I'll be changing my current car in a couple of months time, so will have to go through this all over again!100% debt free

We are currently going through this process yet again. Having got our 50% car tax reduction sorted out a couple of months ago, the car started playing up and so OH changed it nearly five weeks ago. Of course we had to pay the full road tax when we collected it. However, we still haven't received the new registration document and so are unable to apply for the tax reduction until we get that.
I phoned DVLA and they say they have no record of receiving the old registration document from the car dealer, so phoned the dealer and they say it was posted ages ago, so it looks like I am going to have apply for it using the slip they give you. DVLA said they look to issue new V5C forms in 2-4 weeks from receipt.
It is a very complicated way of doing things:(Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -
So I've bought a new car and dutifully sent all my documents including PIP entitlement letter to DVLA, so I can tax my new car at reduced rate of 50% off, and it's been rejected! :mad:
As I mentioned in an earlier post, my original entitlement letter had been stamped with the registration of my previous car, which apparently now makes it invalid to tax my new car at the reduced rate. :mad:
The GOV.UK website states that you must send in your 'original statement of entitlement', which I have done. It does not state that you must apply to the DWP for a new statement of entitlement letter every time you change cars but this what DVLA say must be done.
So as I've already been waiting for 3 weeks to tax my new car, I've had to tax it at the full rate, as I cannot afford to wait another 5 or 6 weeks, whilst I wait for DWP to send me a new entitlement letter and then wait for DVLA to authorize the tax reduction.
Absolute madness!! :mad::mad:100% debt free

That's correct.
I get 100% yearly car tax paid for my big almost new car - It's in the 250 a year car tax bracket.Master Apothecary Faranell replied, “I assure you, overseer, the Royal Apothecary Society dearly wishes to make up for the tragic misguidance which ended so many lives. We will cause you no trouble. We seek only to continue our research in peace".0 -
So here is what it says on the gov.uk website.
Absolutely no mention of having to obtain a new statement of entitlement from DWP every time you tax a different car.
And here is what DVLA said in their letter.
I'm furious about this as DVLA have changed the rules and I feel cheated out of something I'm legally entitled to, so I'm starting a formal complaint and want a refund of the overpaid VED.100% debt free
