4 is still quite young, of course, but it might be worth talking to your HV about this.Signature removed for peace of mind0

Does she drink black currant? Some people think it makes bed wetting worse. Don't know if it is scientifically proven, or an old wives tale though."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." I appreciate what you say about not being able to use any of the disposable items for your dd. With this in mind, it could be worthwhile buying a couple of reusable wraps and liners.
I'd not worry too much, my ds has only JUST come out of night pullups last week-and he was 5 in May.
I think your HV could put your mind at rest about how normal your dd sounds-a lot of children go back to wetting after a period of dryness

DD doesn't drink blackcurrent I'm proud to say she only drinks water ( tho this is her choice I've no probs with juice DS goes throu gallens of the stuff!)
But jus for the record I started a reward chart 4 days ago and also continued with the lifting at night, although she doesn't do anything when i lift her the reward chart is working a treat and 4 days on the trot we've had 4 dry nights:T
.. and the reward is.... A sticker!!!!! I've told her if she can do a whole week she can have a big treat but she seems very happy with her stickers! me I'm pleased as punch, tho a little miffed it only took a sticker to stop the bed wetting when it's been going on for months! Tho I would've tried anything I was getting so frustrated with it.. I'm happy its working for now. lets hope it continues!

um, now I dont have children, yet, BUT this is only a thought.........you said she was 'lazy' and sometimes just pee'd on the floor where ever she was....could it be that she just cant be bothered with getting out of bed? (if so the reward chart would work) perhaps this doesnt happen at other peoples houses because she understands the concept of 'visiting' and that you behave differently at other peoples houses.
Alternatively, could she be doing it for the attention that it brings? like a power thing? I know kids are very 'young' but they are also extremely clever.
I have also heard of the buzzing mat thing, its for learned behaiviour, so eventually the brain 'hears' the buzzer before it lets her pee so wakes her up first. Its supposed to be very good I think.Mummy to two girls, 4 & 1, been at home for four years, struggling to contend with the terrifying thought of returning to work.0 -
I have suspected for a while it was " laziness" on her part or perhaps " attention seeking" but didn't know what to do. She hasn't wet on the floor for some time tho funnily enough she wet herself today for no reason!!! I'm pleased the chart is working but am worried about what will happen when I stop the chart.. ie if it is her being lazy she has no incentive therefore will it begin again! also the attention thing.. she gets no attention for it, I jus change her ( or she does it herself and only tells me AFTER that she was wet) and get on with it I tell her it's wrong and thats it. I have rightly or wrongly had little patience with it!!!! Does that make sense?????0

I'd still be asking why she's doing it- it's not a nice feeling to be wet, so unlikely it's because she's lazy- when kids have been dry and there's a relapse there is usually a reason for it.
Spend some good quality time with her, just chatting and playing games etc, give her the chance to tell you about her day- she may be able to let you know about something that's upsetting her that seems trivial to you, but is major to a 4 yo.
