Help, EA won't take house off rightmove and zoopla

So we have had an offer accepted on the house, got solicitors but want a survey doing first before allowing the solicitor to do chargeable work but I have informed EA of solicitors we are using and the surveyor. I have sent off all ID that they needed and agreement in principle. However they won't take the house off of rightmove and zoopla, when asked they said they don't until the solicitor starts proceedings. But I can't physically do anymore to demonstrate my intentions that I want this house. They haven't been doing viewings but they've taken 30 peoples details and say they've had a lot of interest in it. What more can I do? I'm worried that I'm going to lose the house

Do't worry about it. When my sister sold her house last year, she was in her new house for 6 months before her old house and her new house came off the internet! Doesn't mean the house isn't yours..... Relax!(•_•)

Tell your solicitor to start proceeding?0

Look at it from their point of view - until exchange you could pull out so they need to keep their options open.0

can you contact vendor direct, to request EA take listings off the web?breathe in, breathe out- You're alive! Everything else is a bonus, right? RIGHT??0

It's also marketing for the firm..."I'm sorry Mr & Mrs prospective buyer, that property is under offer. However, we also have xxx on our books which may be of interest..."
However, the EA has told you what you need to for them to take the property off rightmove et al. If you choose not to follow this advice, how is it the EAs fault or problem?0 -

What you are saying is that there is a significant chance that you will be pulling out of the purchase.
But if there's a significant chance of you pulling out of the purchase then why wouldn't the estate agents want to be keeping a list of interested people in case you do?
So you either need to...
a. accept that there isn't a significant chance of you pulling out and get the solicitors working
b. pull out now and go for a house that doesn't have a significant chance of you pulling out
c. pull out now and only look at houses with estate agents who _will_ take a house off the market without the buyer getting their solicitor working (if there are any)
d. keep going as you are and hope that no-one gazumps you0 -
The answer is in the question, you start the Solicitor.
You say you don't want to until survey done, maybe a chance to pull out, so with listing removed they then have to re-advertise. This is what you are saying, once survey comes back I will decide if you wish to purchase this house.0 -
Tell your solicitor to start proceeding?
As soon as your solicitor sends off for one single search (the cheapest one, perhaps?) the estate agent can tick the box, and take the property off the websites. Does your solicitor have an abortive costs scheme (where you pay a fee up front, and then if the sale doesn't go through, you only have to pay their direct cost, e.g. the search fees)?0 -

Get the survey done ASAP. What's the delay?0 -
Like others have said you could still pull out. To have our purchase listed at Sold STC on Rightmove etc we had to provide proof of deposit, proof of MIP and proof that we had instructed our solicitors to start work. It's only fully been removed since we exchanged.0
