SP up around 2% on results.

Ended the day 2.4% down. Suggests sellers won the day.

Looking back again at commodities, did anyone else jump in at what looked like the bottom of the latest commodities 'cycle'?

Thankfully, this is one area that's done very well for me, as I've seen an, about, 80% return over the past year in one of my favourite funds, First State Global Resources, where I topped up my 'direct' commodities investments significantly, to somewhat top-heavy, just over a year ago.

Since then, not to put all my eggs in one basket, I've also split my 'direct' commodities investments 50/50 between First State Global Resources and BlackRock Natural Resources Growth & Income fund.

I still see some further overall growth in returns on commodities next year, but not to the same extent as this year, so I'm staying invested at the same level for now and may buy in a little further on any dips.

I bought into City Natural Resources High Yield Trust plc earlier this year and am currently sitting on a 26.5% gain. Though over 9% of this fund is held in UK Treasury stocks which help underpin the dividend yield of 4.5%.
