Parking your car close to a driving area...?
Er .. how would you get the car there without driving it?

There is case law on this and on that occasion both golfer and golf club were liable for injury which at the time lead a lot of golfers to take out insurance to cover themselves.
Which case law are you referring to?

There are famous also a few famous cricket cases which is often taught in insurance exams relating to a cricket ball being hit out of the ground.

Hi..my son has played a shot...hits car of golfclub worker and breaks windscreen. Car parked in golf parking area. My son has paid club for round of golf...man demands £230 for repair. Club have now paid this to their employee...they now want him to claim "house ins"...he lives with us....surely this type of accident will be covered by the club?...and be covered in the fees for the game. any comments welcome.

Each golfer should have their own insurance against possibilities like this.

Your home insurance may cover this - we can't see your policy from here.

The 'driving area' referred to is driving in golfing terms, not motoring.

The track along which the man drove to park his car is only a couple of hundred yards from the main road...he deals with looking after the green, there are items in the large tin shed beside where he parked...this is not part of the car park..which is in fact close by where his car would have been safe.

I now think that , since G.C lady paid him £230 without any investigation, she has acted as his Insurance co. ...was his car insured for working on golf C. during play? If not, not even they would pay out...so she is merely asking my son to help her balance the books following a bad decision. I'll keep you informed.
