Are your parents not supporting you, can they not claim in your home country?

On what basis are you resident in the UK?
  • Do they get Child Benefit or Tax Credits for you?

    If not why not?
These are my own views and you should seek advice from your local Benefits Department or CAB.
  • Should get child benefits for you!

I read it as if the OP was with his sister in this country and their parents were abroad and from the post that the OP is an immigrant. The OP needs to clarify the situation.

As has been said OP parents should be supporting him/her.

Why can't your parents support you, i.e. send you money to cover the costs of you living in the UK?

    1. Are you/your parents citizens of the UK? or citizens of an EU country?

    2. Is your sister working? Or is she a student?

    3. What age is she, and what age are you?

    4. How long have you lived here? Were you born here?

On what information do you base this thought - the OP doesn't say anything about their home country?

Probably the sentence construction he/ she uses.
  • If a foreign student then probably nothing at all as they are supposed to be self funding/self sufficient.
