That is OP's point. He/she gets paid in cash.

But the OP has already confirmed that they can pay cash in, the issue was that nobody else can. I don't really see that as a significant problem, how often does anyone else pay cash into your account?

If I had known this, I wouldn't have switched to Tesco
You would have known this if you'd read the account T&Cs...either those presented to you before you applied (assuming you applied online?) or those sent with the welcome pack (giving you the option to cancel your application within 14 days?)...

    https://www.tescobank.com/assets/sections/current-accounts/pdf/tesco-current-accounts-terms-and-conditions.pdf?_cachebuster17092015
Bottom of page 5. Note the use of the words "I" (as in "how can I pay in") and "You" (as in "you must have your debit card with you").

That's a bit harsh, it isn't exactly a main feature that you'd consider.

I can't pay into a Tesco account the Post Office unfortunately.
I think what I will do is stick with it for now and make sure that I budget for DDs to come out, buying me time to bank my wages. If it does become a problem, I'll look into another account. Hey I might even get a reward for an account switch!
Thank you for the comments x
You could use another account to pay into at a post office then transfer the cash to Tesco account.
Or if someone else needs to pay the money in, they could pay into their account and transfer the money electronically.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.
