Had a really good night's sleep (sorry Hester) but have been having poor sleep for months so hope things are improving now.
Wet and miserable day so going to put washing on the pulley indoors. Yesterday's load of laundry seems to have dried well so have a load of clothes, towels and bedding to fold and sort.
Has anyone seen the thread about folding items using a home made cardboard template made from a box?
Had breakfast and still have chicken soup from yesterday for lunch so just need to decide what I fancy for dinner.
Today is black bin or recycling day so I went out early to take big bins out then realised neighbour had recycling bins out so took those out too
Youngest just phoned and is getting discouraged about looking for work so had a long chat and did "the Mum talk" about anyone being lucky to have her etc.
TA
I hope you get the phone call today and get a better idea of what is planned.
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"

Morning all,
Sat in my lovely warm office listening to the wind and rain. So miserable out there today. DD is on a school trip so hopefully the majority of it will be indoors!
DD is off to mums after school so just me to cater for this evening - going to make up a tuna pasta bake (comfort food) and serve with salad. That'll give me a few extra portions for lunches etc
Have washing drying at home so hopefully that'll be finished and i can pop another load in. Really need to clean the oven this evening:( I hate that job! Will sit and update my meal plan as i have bits and bobs that need using before Asda deliver next week.
Enjoy your days everybody!

Just an update - the rain cleared, the sky cleared and the bloomin' sun came out! What is going on?
I went for my haircut and ended up boiling hot with two layers of top and a jacket. Picked up a paper, bacon roll and sent off a return to JLewis and home again.
Did a thorough clear out of my car (second time) and found £19.52 in coins stuffed in various little cubby holes. As I no longer need change for parking it all went in my silver Tardis money box!
So far, a good day.

Good Afternoon everyone, grey here and it was wet this morning but Cookie and I have just been lucky and had a dry walkies, one small shower was all we had. Lovely morning, a neighbour dropped in with her little grandson for a chat and we had such fun, you wouldn't believe just how much fun you can have with a cuddly dog and a canvas crawl through tube, oh yes, brilliant! He was shattered when they went home but he's a real poppet.
Home made cauliflower cheese soup for lunch today, one of my favourites and 'breakfast' for supper so an easy day all round. Gearing up for a cuppa and to watch some rugby, He Who Knows has taken command of the kitchen and is bottling cider so the house smells wonderfully bosky, hic!!! So pleased you all liked the Lentil Loaf WEALTHYGIRL, it's one of my favourites too and I like it cold as much as hot.
JUDI just hugs poppet, lots of them and for as long as you need them, Lyn xxx.0 -
Afternoon all,
Sending you a (((hug))) Deleted_User.
Bit wet and dull to start with today but the sun came out at lunchtime and it's been so warm!
Cleaned through this morning. Why is it the day I clean up DH decides to saw or sand wood on the front drive and walk it through the house?!
He did the same thing last week when I cleaned!
DH had a GP appointment this morning. He had to have another blood test last week which has shown he does have Diabetes. He has been prescribed tablets. I've just been to the library and got a book about it as I don't really know what he can and can't eat. It's going to be a learning curve for us both. I wonder how much this is going to push up our Travel Insurance! Looking back I can now see that he has had some of the symptoms for quite a while.
Chicken for dinner and I have the evening to myself as DH is off to footy.0 -
When I was younger, so much younger, my hair was down to my waist but I had it all chopped off when I started travelling to Oz in the 70s. I've never been able to get past the 'messy stage' since and now I'm too old for it long.
Sadly, with the lupus, it's falling out in handfuls, so I'm looking at sourcing a long red wig.;)Scamps had a great time up the hill last night, he ended his wet and muddy run by rolling in fox poo. Then he rubbed himself all over the carpet as soon as he got in:eek:He had his first shower last night, he was a bit wary to start with but seemed to enjoy it. Soaked the bathroom though, lol.
I've found the best way to bathe a dog is to strip down to your skivvies before you start, and have a bath towel on the floor just outside the bathroom door for them to roll on as soon as they exit the bathroom.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
How old is "too old for it long"? I'm 55 and still have mine waist-length and dyed red (it's grey if I leave it).:D

I'm 61! I wouldn't suit long hair these days unfortunately. LURVE the red hair.Ah yes; fox poo - canine aftershave!:rotfl:

I've heard that ketchup is the best thing to remove the smell of fox poo. Not having a dog means that I can't verify it but friends have told me of it's use.0 -
Spent all afternoon at the breast clinic yesterday, sharp intake of breath when they said they found something, but after a scan it turns out it is a small subctutaneous cyst, not even big enough to drain, but I have to go back in 6 months, just to keep an eye on it. Finally got home at 6.30pm the traffic was horrendous, made worse by an accident on the M1!
Needless to say I am feeling very upbeat today
Tru, our little lodger is very fond of horse poo, fox poo and freshly mowed lawns:eek:, it is made worse because he is white with a little tan on his head (Jack Russell)
busiscoming........ I am diabetic on insulin and I eat a Low GI diet, my diabetic clinic also advocates low carb and there is even a milk/cheese/butter diet that they are trialling in hospitals. Whole grains, no processed foods, plenty of protein and low sugar is the way I eat.
But saying that nothing is off the menu as long as your BG is controlled, you can even have chocolate. Your DH should be referred to a dietician and put on a DESMOND course, have a word with your GP
TA I hope you get the call soon (((Hugs)))
((((((Hugs)))))) to Judi, Molly and anyone else who needs one x
Steak and kidney pie tonight, the meat is cooking away happily on the stove will have roast potatoes, cauliflower and runner beans from the garden (yes they are still giving and I have new flowers as well ) Sweetcorn is nearly ready, it was late flowering this year, it is ok as long as we don't have a frost.
