Monday 5th October - What small DFW things will you do today?

Good afternoon everyone

Thank you far starting us off CLL
- I've done a car boot before
depending on what you have depends on what sort of day you will have. When I go it's mainly clothes etc that I sell and I sell them as cheap as possible (50p - £3) and I never seem to make much. When I did one with OH we made abotu £60 but he sold a laptop and some XBox games so it all depends. Also as others have said people do want stuff for nothing and are really cheeky. Also I would advise making sure you have at least two people there at a time to watch out for people that pinch things. ( I know it can't always be done, especially my OH as he likes to wonder and buy more carp that what we come with!!) haha
Had a rather busy weekend which is why I've not posted the past few days
Sat I worked in another bureau doing the managers checks and yesterday I went to Cadbury's World (OMG IT WAS AMAZING!!) as you can tell by my name I was in my element :P
All this talk about Netflix makes me sad
no internet until next Mon so no Netflix
also apparently we're only gonna be getting 1MB (Sp) speed so been told by my bro we can't get NF
I LOVE NF!!
Bob - Sorry I didn't answer your question the other day, basically I work in Mr T's, have to wear the uniform etc but I don't work for Mr T's I work for Travelex, although Mr T reimburse them for our wages and we get paid less than basic pay at Mr T's
however I do enjoy my job and it's the people I work with that make it good
I have relative that works 9 - 5 Mon - Fri which would be my ideal and gets paid a lot more than I do. However her manager isn't very nice and she has a lot of pressure on her
Ziggy - So sorry to hear you're feeling low at the moment, if you need someone to listen we're here for you
YorkshireLass - I know you posted a couple of days ago about your DS clothes (only just catching up) but it might be worth putting them on FB or something as job lot of clothes, thats what I did and got £25 for a load of old clothes
DNMS - Glad you had a good time away
Ally - Sorry to here you're down at the moment, sending hugs your way
- PAD £3
- Go and collect free slow cooker
- Unpack some more, do as much as I can, fed up tripping over boxes!
- Make meal plan for the next week

I don't think Bob found out before the birth.
If I remember correctly today is Bob's due date.

Whoo-hoo! Managed to do everything on my list AND made the pear & blackberry jam. 6 jars of lush purple for my winter toast & cakes :-)
Dizzybind - I never use a recipe for my pear compote. I just peeled my way through a big pile of ripe but still firm pears, put them in a pan with a small amount of water, added 2 tbsp sugar, a squeeze of lemon juice & a tsp cinnamon. I just bring it to the boil, turn down to low simmer & leave it for 10 mins or so until pears are soft. Freezes well. Yum on porridge xx
F x2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!0
