Hi everyone,
Just got a few minutes before both DGC descend,DGD Nana is dropping her off earlier than normal as she is going to see a show and will have gone out by the time DS usually picks her up.Need to just organise tea before she gets here, beef from the roast yesterday and I'll peel some spuds and carrots. There is still some apple and blackberry crumble left too-got the blackberries on Sunday morning across from our house, which was lucky cos they probably are a bit battered with the rain now. We've seen quite a few people stopping to pick a container full. There's an elderberry bush too that I have my eye on,meant to be really good for colds, chest infections etc if you make them into a syrup.
I'm feeling chilled out, went to my yoga class (2nd week in)after lunch then walked back home.Certainly wasnt as nice as the walk back last week but stayed dryish.
I feel like I'm getting back to my true self this last week, apart from a grotty cold
-DH has put half the new kitchen in with the oven,so we had a full roast dinner yesterday for the 1st time in months, and I've been able to get some stuff out of the loft, like baking tins and my breadmaker. So the 2nd loaf is about to finish :j-only thing is I don't know where my slicer is and its hard to cut without it.The rest of the units should be here next week.
RRuby-hugs for you xx
TA-hope you get the call & well done on feeding DH up.
Right better get peeling spuds :rotfl:xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
RR - I know right now you are feeling bereft but in time you will see what a fantastic job you have done for Noodles. I take my hat off to you.
Chilly and wet here, just going to do some painting (again!).0 -
Good evening everyone.
TA good news about Mr TA, hoping you hear good news about the forthcoming treatment soon.
RR thinking of you and noodles.hugs to everyone.
The weather has changed and it has been raining. Just the usual today, went to work and then have chilled out at home.
I have all the family together tonight, so I made the cheese and lentil roast, with roast potatoes and veggies. Everyone really enjoyed it, so another veggie recipe to add to my collection. Thank you very much Mrs Lurchwalker.
Have a good evening everyone x.SPC 11 #4450 -
Evening everyone
Had my interview for part time job this morning, enjoyed it but unfortunately didn't get the job. I'm looking on it as good practice.
Not a lot of os today but did visit the CS on way home and got a lovely wooden sun lounger with cushion for £20 & stairgate for £7 (for when grandchildren visit. Also a couple of dresses for £1 each. I realise I won't get to use the sun lounger till next year now but couldn't resist the bargain price.
Redruby (((hugs))) you have done the right thing for noodles but that doesn't make it any easier for you.
TA - well done on Mr TA weight gain.
Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.0
