  • Good morning everyone. It is still quite dark here and it was raining heavily when I woke up this morning. I will be busy today getting the house straight after the weekend, doing some paperwork and sorting out finances. I like to get my bills paid at the start of the month so I don't have to think about them again till next month.

RR you have done a fantastic job with Noodles and I can understand how you must feel about her going but it sounds like she has gone to a lovely home.

TA good to hear how your husband is progressing. You are doing a great job looking after him.

Hope everyone has a good day x

    Good morning all,
I have not been replying to individual posts but I do read and want to send my best wishes for MR TA and to RE as that must have been such a wrench.
Working at home today so no slog through the rain on the first wet and cold day for a long time. Woolly jumper and thermal socks for me. If it does stay cold at least I can think about my winter fuel allowance to take the edge off the horror of impending gas bill!
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

    Good morning,

Wet and dreary here this morning, as promised.

Not venturing out today, I have some ironing to do which I never got round to yesterday, and making a beef strogonoff for our meal this evening with lots of mashed potato (comfort food in this cold weather)

TA I am so pleased for you that Mr TA is continuing to put on weight, can only be a good sign and set him up for his treatment. I hope your phone call comes today.

RR as everyone has said, you came into Noodles life when she most needed you. Hopefully you have given her the confidence she so badly needed, and that she can help the bereaved couple recover from their loss. I know you must be so sad, but if you look on it as though you were fostering a child, and when you have given the child the stability it needed, they can go on to become well rounded young people, you did this for Noodles.

Himself is just off to pick up a paper. Lyn I hope He Who Knows is home with you soon

    Morning all,

TA so happy to hear of Mr TA's weight gain and that he is eating better. So good to hear your news.

Redruby. You did your best for noodles.... You loved her with all your heart but you did the best for her letting her go. You did a very selfless thing and i applaud you for it.

Hubby at work and 'Youngest' has gone to stay with a mate for a few days until work kicks off. The weather is truly awful today. I was going to visit Mom but i dont really want to get soaked in the process. I'll see if the weather brightens up a bit.

Week 3 of the glycolic peel. First week i didnt notice much difference. Second week the lower half of my face peeled but not the bit i wanted to peel so this week ive concentrated on the bits i want to peel. 7 minutes with the acid before applying the neutralizer. I'll see what happens. I must say, it is making a difference to the texture of my skin but it does mean hiding from the world for a couple of days.

Not much planned for my day, just housework after a very busy weekend.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

  • Morning ((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.

It was raining when we got up, but seems to have cleared and OH says its drying up, so guess where he is???? yes, the garden..... heaven knows what I am going to do with him when winter comes.

Stripped the bed, the laundry basket is now so heavy I cannot life it up and there is no room for anything else. I might just do the bed linen on an overnight wash. The machine switches itself off when its finished. I will have to use the dryer to dry it as I think its going to pour again on Wednesday, I will have at least 3 wash loads by the time the machine gets here. Better weather is promised for the end of the week, so will do the rest then.

TA pleased to hear that Mr TA is putting on some more weight, I sincerely hope that he is suitable for the treatment and he does not loose all the weight again.

RR I can understand how you feel, I hope Noodles settles in her new home, you did really well with her.

Busy week this week with various appointments, just today and tomorrow fairly free.

Unfortunately the only facial scrub that i like is Decleor Phytopeel but i'll be damned if i am paying almost £30 for it plus postage on top. Ive tried so many scrubs its untrue...

Anyway, all done now. I'll let you know how i progress.:rotfl:

RR you did a fantastic job fostering Noodles when she was in dire need, and she's going to "pay it forward" (like paying back, but going on to do good for another recipient) by filling the dog-shaped hole in the bereaved couple's lives now.:o
I always feel really down when my guests leave - even though they've only been here for a holiday, because there's always this big empty space where there should be a dog or two.:o

TA I'm so glad Mr TA is doing better with the Oramorph. I have that, too - for breakthrough pain that the twice-daily morphine tablets don't manage to deal with. Tastes vile (imho - I don't like very sweet things) but it does the job!;)
It sounds like the treatment regime won't be a walk in the park, but hopefully it'll do the trick and he'll be as well as he can possibly be at the end of it.:o I'd offer him some of my excess weight if I thought it'd help.:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Well done on the inventiveness with food and your success in getting DH's weight up :j:j:j Hope you hear about the treatments soon and that it works well for him.

Wet day today so hung some laundry on the pulley in utility room and have a load of towels and bedding to fold and store in airing cupboard. I had a healthy yoghurt and fruit for breakfast and a home made chicken and veg broth for late lunch. Might make lamb and veg stew for tonight as it is such a grey day.

Seems very quiet after a few days with dd's cat being looked after and middle dd staying over the weekend with me.

Having a lazy day doing a bit of cooking reading etc as I think the rest of the week might be busy.

    Hugs to all

    Afternoon all,

Walked with my friend this morning, luckily the rain held off. Did a bit of cleaning (you know the bits you usually avoid). Popped into Mr T just now to hopefully print out some photos, only to find both machines with 'awaiting repairs' stuck to them!! It's taken me ages to get round to doing it as well!

Not sure what is for dinner...

    Happy Monday :)

TA - Glad Mr TA has put on weight.
