I'm so sorry for your loss, and others who have lost a companion. Losing a beloved pet is awful I know :(. Take care. Xx

  • Hi everyone,

Thank you all for your lovely kind words. They've been a great comfort. In a funny way I feel relief I think cos she wasn't well love her and now I know she's at peace. Hopefully she's with my late husband and my Mum. I like to think so anyway.

Hugs to all of us who have lost our furballs.

This is exactly how I have felt about my last three dogs. All were ill and it was very stressful knowing what was coming but not when .

In one case I was actually grateful, knowing that the decision about Izzy, who had MVD, would not have to be made on the Monday, as he went out to the garden on Saturday evening and died mid-stride. He would have been completely unaware .

I do hope you can find another to fill the gap in your life. Another dog will never replace the lost one, but there is love waiting for you to give and receive.

Sorry for your loss. I've been there a few times with pets and it is heart breaking. A good friend of mine is having her dog PTS this week as it's health has been declining for some time now.
