Virgin Media V Box

Options
We have just moved house and having been Virgin Media customers since 2000, negotiated a deal with them in which we got free installation, a loyalty discount of £17 a year and a free V box in the bedroom (have TIVO box on main telly).

Is the V box just the same as freeview plus or are there more channels? Haven't had a chance to play with it yet!

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

Tne V box gives you your subscription channels but no pause/record etc
  • Thanks, that's all |I needed to know :). Will really only use it when I'm in bed!

Just so I understand, it will be the same channels as we have on the TIVO box?

Are you sure its not the V+ you have?

If so you can pause live TV and record as well.

The deals with second boxes usually give the V HD box.

I am not actually sure, no. :). I am not at home at the moment (staying in friends' house and looking after her dog) and saw the box only briefly when it was installed.

I will ring my husband and ask him to look. :)

    ETA: Done it. It's V HD. :)

    Does that change anything?
