How can I get £500 credited to a San 123 a/c on a Sunday?

I thought I opened a joint Santander 123 a/c on 6 August (First credit not until 8th), but got no interest (or even a fee deducted) in September. I've just checked it before ringing them and found that a £2 fee has appeared in advance, dated Monday 5 October. Is this the first day of the new month? If so, the payment I set up for Monday will be a day too late, so I was wondering if it's possible to get a credit today by any other means.

You can make a Faster Payment from another bank account.0

Which they schedule to go out on Monday.0

You have everything to gain and nothing to lose, so just make the FP!
But just out of interest (no pun intended), which other bank account do you have that won't send a payment today? (ignoring the date they or Santander put on the statement).0 -
RBS won't.0

That's just not true. You can make payments from RBS/Natwest literally 24x7. The only exception will be when they have maintenance but that's just for a few hours.
Are you confusing the ability to make a payment at the weekend with the date with which the payment will show on your statement?0 -

How much was your first credit?
If it was for £500 or more, from anywhere apart from another Santander account in your name, then that would satisfy the 1st month's minimum payment.0 -

No; with online banking FPs are actioned instantaneously, and usually arrive at destination account within a couple of hours. The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
