TalkTalk PVR when you leave

What I want to know is what happens when you move YouView box to another service provider?
Do you lose the saved programmes?
Do you lose PVR?
Can you reformat the thing and make use of it as you can with a SkyPlus box?
I gather it is an industry standard box (YouView) that TalkTalk rebadge.
I also heard that Freeview have their own PVR service that is free.
Has anyone here had oneof these and left TalkTalk?

It depends on when you leave. If you are in contract at the time you leave the Youview box needs to be returned, or a deferred box fee of £75 would be applicable.
If you are out of contract you can keep the box with no charge. When you move to a different ISP you will lose the features in the TalkTalk Player, boost channels etc. However the box will still function as a PVR, Freeview and On Demand player.
