How Long Does The PIP Process Roughly Take?

  • A recent claimant sent his form off on 10 Sept, and had a decision letter dated 30 Sept, and that was after a medical. Speedy.
    Sadly he was turned down.

    I was told by the PIP claim line when applying they aim for a maximum of 18 weeks from claim line to decision, if after 18 weeks she gave me a number to ring and inquire about it. We are now getting towards the 18 weeks stage and heard nothing to date. Fingers crossed no news is good news.

    I sent my sons DLA transferring to PIP claim off on 18th Sep. Got a decision 4 weeks later and successful. I was really worried about him attending an assessment but they did it on the papers.
    Stuck on the carousel in Disneyland's Fantasyland :D
